This policy describes how Biohazard (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the community hazard map on Android and related web pages on ryyk.dev.
What we collect
- Account data: email address used to sign in or register.
- Hazard reports: location of reports, hazard type, timestamps, and optional notes you submit.
- Device data: basic technical information needed to run the app and prevent abuse (for example app version and anonymised identifiers).
How we use data
We use this information to display hazards on the shared map, operate your account, send account-related emails (such as deletion confirmations), and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Location
Hazard reports include geographic coordinates so others can see where a hazard was reported. The app requests location permission only when needed to create or view map content.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and report data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app (More → Delete account) or via the delete account page on this site. Deletion is permanent.
Third parties
We use infrastructure providers to host the service. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements. The map may use third-party map tiles; those providers may receive technical requests (such as IP addresses) when tiles are loaded.
